FILMY, a Sahara One Network creation, announced Madhur Bhandarkar, renowned filmmaker, as the Jury head for its much-acclaimed initiative, Short Films on FILMY. Madhur Bhandarkar, National Award winner and director of Bollywood superhits including Page 3, Chandni Bar and Satta will screen and shortlist the entries received for the Short Films on FILMY.
Short-listed films would then be aired on the channel and viewers will be called upon to vote for their favorite film. Also, the 'Audience Favorite' film and filmmaker will be profiled on FILMY.

Through this contest, FILMY has given a great opportunity to independent and amateur filmmakers to exhibit their talent to a nationwide audience. FILMY has invited entries from writers, producers, directors, cinematographers and animators among others. All genres including dramas, documentaries, live action and animated stories, with themes ranging from humor and horror to Science Fiction and reality are invited.
