Guru
'Guru' stays on at the top of the charts as none of the new releases of 2007 have made any
impact whatsoever at the music stands. It has been a dull phase so far with the first quarter of 2007 threatening to go by without a single new release making a mark
except 'Namastey London' to an extent.

Salaam-E-Ishq
In the absence of any major competition except for the 2-3 albums at the top that have been there
now for ages, 'Salaam-E-Ishq' enjoys steady sales at the stands. One wonders an extra distance the album would have gone if only the film too would have been a
success.

Dhoom 2
After a brief stint of moving up in the charts to #2 for a week, 'Dhoom 2' returns to #3, a position
it has been occupying for number of weeks now. Pritam has carried on his good form well into 2007 too with 'Just Married', 'Hat Trick' and now 'Kya Love Story Hai'
also boasting of good soundtracks.
If it wasn't for 'Crazy' and 'Dhoom Again', the album may have struggled to make a
mark

Anwar
While 'Bas Ek Pal' got him widely noticed, 'Anwar' got Mithoon the kind of name, fame and
recognition that he truly deserves. No wonder the young lad is in news now with top music companies making beeline to have him on board. Expect to hear a lot more
about him in the second half of this year.

Namastey London
With the kind of time 'Namastey London' got to create a space for itself in the charts, it should
well have been in Top-3 by now. A good album, it deserves to be there but it seems that music lovers are giving it a cold shoulder by expecting it to be a routine Himesh
Reshammiya album, without even giving it a hearing.
The film is not really making much news even as it is just a week away from
release

Water
Surprise of the week. Just last week it was speculated that 'Water' entering the charts was just a
flash in the pan but its sudden jump in the charts indicates otherwise. A quality album.
It may not be yet another 'Guru' in the making but is being liked by the connoisseurs of good
music

HTPL
Moving up by a spot, the album has hung on but only on the lower side. With the kind of success
'Sajnaji Vari Vari' saw, it had earlier seemed that HTPL could turn out to be a chartbuster. Well, sadly that didn't quite happen!
None. The album has everything from fusion to tango to soft numbers to make it stand out amidst
the crowd.

Woh Lamhe
Swapping places with HTPL, 'Woh Lamhe' has fallen down by a spot but that doesn't mean a
journey towards an end of road for the album. Albums coming from the house of Bhatts have a penchant of extra long innings and 'Woh Lamhe' is not going to be an
exception.

SLBB
If 'Water' has thrown a surprise by jumping towards the middle of the charts, SLBB has been an
enigma in it's own since in spite of good music, it is not quite picking up in the charts. The album comes with an entertainer tag without any pretensions of going
out-of-the-box.
From an album with a T-Series-Himesh Reshammiya combination tag, it is hard to imagine such
lack of momentum in album sales

Don - The Chase Begins Again
In a week of surprises, the chase seems to be ending for 'Don' as the album shows a big fall of as
many as 4 places and is now staring at the barrel.
Will 'Don' live on in the charts at least till the time the next biggie 'Tara Rum Pum'
